- It’s time to tuck in the ends. Make sure everything is tightly rolled by lifting the edge of the mat over the rice and exerting some pressure.
- Using a stamp, press down on the sides. To prevent the rice from drying out, brush it with water and continue rolling tightly.
- Wrap with cling film for step six. Unwrap the cling film and cut the sushi into thick slices by a grown-up before removing the mat.
- Pressed sushi is made in step seven. Smoked salmon can be layered on top. Before baking, smoked salmon should be placed on top of the cling film in a loaf pan.
- Press down the rice to make it stick. Fold the cling film over and press down on the rice as hard as you can, using another pan if necessary.
- Stagger the sandcastles and then toss them away. Chop the sushi into smaller pieces by laying it out on a cutting board. Remove the cling film by having a grown-up cut into fingers.
